You Are Stupid! …Randy Abbey Tells Aduana Official

Reports emanating from Kpando in the Volta Region indicate that a fight nearly ensued between Heart of Lions' Randy Abbey and Aduana Stars Operations Manager George Gyau.

The two nearly exchanged blows following Randy Abbey's alleged verbal attacks on the visiting official, referring to the Aduana man as stupid, when the latter suspected foul play in officiating and expressed concern.

'He told me I am stupid when I questioned the referee and told Randy if he watches what was happening unconcerned then Ghana football will suffer.

'He told me in the face that I am stupid, which I didn't take lightly because I have a son who is over 30years. When we got to our hotel, he instructed his body guard known as Cyborg to assault me.

'But you know we Aduanas are not that soft. We are aggressive so my boys were around to intervene. I would have dealt with him and consequently faced him squarely.

'Fighting has no formular, and like the Biblical David and Goliath story, I would have surprised them. He also told me I am an employee.

'What the referee did was awful, he ignored a clear penalty going for us. We equalized and when my players were going to celebrate, he disallowed it,' the 58-year-old added.

Attempts to reach the Communications Directorate of Lions via telephone was unsuccessful.
