Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed plays full throttle in Kuban Krasnodar's 2-0 defeat to Ural FC in Russian league opener

Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed enjoyed maximum playing time as Krasnodar surprisingly lost 2-0 at home to Ural FC in the Russian league.

The 25-year-old was given the nod in midfield ahead of Mitrovic Alexandar and bossed the center earlier on in the game.

But coach Dmitri Khokhlov's side were made to pay for some late defensive lapses as goals from Edgar and Gerson Acevador gave  visitors Ural FC all three points on the day.

The performance of Rabiu who was clearly one of the best players on the day should come as a respite for Dmitri Khokhlov who has reposed faith in the Ghana international for the season.
