Second game: Atsu's Bournemouth recover to beat Exeter in pre-season friendly

Christian Atsu played his second game for Bournemouth as they came from behind to defeat English League Two side Exeter City 2-1 in their second pre-season match on Saturday afternoon.

The Ghana winger was given the first 45-minute run outs by boss Eddie Howe.

Atsu created the first opening with seven minutes on the clock after Adam Smith bombed forward and found the feet of the on-loan Chelsea man who turned and flashed a shot narrowly wide of the far post.

However, Exeter made the most of their resolute showing with the opening goal on the break after 32 minutes through David Wheeler.

Dan Gosling and Junior Stanislas struck second-half goals as Bournemouth recovered to gain victory from their hearty workout away at the League Two side.

The win makes it two wins out of two games for Atsu's newly promoted Premier League side.
