Top position: Opoku Nti to contest for GFA Executive Committee

Asante Kotoko General Manager Samuel Opoku Nti is in contention for a position in the GFA Executive Committee, Allsports.com.gh can exclusively reveal.

Allsports.com.gh understands the entire Kotoko family is firmly behind Opoku Nti's pursuit for a position on the executive committee of the GFA.

Nti has been in-charge of the Porcupine Warriors since July 2013 when Executive Board Chairman Dr. KK Sarpong resigned from his position.

Opoku Nti was a member of the Asante Kotoko Africa Cup winning squad in 1983. He scored the winning goal that clinched the trophy for Kotoko against Al-Ahly in Kumasi.

The Ghana Football Association was supposed to go to the polls in August this year to elect new officers to run the federation for the next four years.

However, the Accra Fast Track Court has placed an injunction on next month's GFA's presidential election.
