Dossena's advice: Ex-Ghana coach backs Fiorentina to sign Muntari

Former Ghana coach Giuseppe Dossena has urged Fiorentina to complete the signing Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari, saying "He still has a lot to give to Italian football."

Muntari was released from his AC Milan contract earlier last week, despite still having a year to run on his deal.

However, he may not be a free agent for long, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that the Viola are keen on the tenacious international star.

And now former Black Stars coach Giuseppe Dossena is backing the Italian side to sign the 30-year-old.

Dossena told Radio Bruno Tuscanyi: "[Muntari] He's a guy that has quality and character, I would be happy to see him in a prestigious team like Fiorentina."

"He still has a lot to give to Italian football. Muntari is a versatile footballer. He can play both right and left and has a good shot from outside the box. "

Dossena, who coached Ghana between 1998 and 2000, is now an adviser for the Italy national football team.
