Nyantakyi leads Ghana delegation at FIFA Congress

GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi is leading Ghana's delegation at the ongoing 65th FIFA Congress, at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Incumbent FIFA President Sepp Blatter is being challenged by the President of the Jordanian football Association Prince Ali Hussein for the FIFA top job.

Dutch football chief Van Praag and former Portuguese international Luis Figo, who had both indicated their interest and campaigned for the position, withdrew from Friday's elections.

The Ghana delegation who have been at the congress since Thursday, includes Emergency Committee member Mr. George Afriyie and GFA General Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Gyimah.

The three- man delegation are expected to return to the country this weekend
