Wonders/South African game now fixed for Sept. 12

Accra, Aug. 26, GNA - The second leg football match between the national deaf soccer team, the Black Wonders and their South African counterparts has now been fixed for September 12.

The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, August 29. According to Mr Samuel Asante, General Secretary of the Ghana Disabled Sports Association, the South Africans have informed the secretariat of their inability to arrive in Accra for the match this Sunday due some conditions beyond their control.

He said the South Africans are yet to secure some documents to enable them embark on the trip but expressed the hope that they will make it for the September 12 date for the match.

The Wonders in the first leg lost 1-2 to the South Africans and are determined to win massively in Accra to qualify for the Deaflympic Games in Melbeourne, Australia next year.
