Powell Clocks 9.84 sec @ Jamaica Open
Former 100 meters world record holder Asafa Powell ran 9.84 seconds to win the 2015 Jamaica International Invitation ahead of America's Ryan Baily (9.93) and Nesta Carter (9.98) of Jamaica on Saturday.
Powell, who returned from a six-month doping ban last year for taking an illegal substance was at his best.
Elaine Thompson of Jamaica ran 10.92 seconds to beat Nigeria's sprint goddess Blessing Okagbare who clocked 11.05 seconds whiles Allyson Felix of the United State of America came third with a time of 11.09 seconds.
Jamaica's Nickel Ashmeade won the men's 200 meter race while Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas ran 22.14 to win in the women category ahead of USA's Tori Bowie and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica.
