Appeal: Berekum Chelsea files for stay of execution

Ghana Premier League side, Berekum Chelsea have filed for a stay of execution after appealing the GFA Disciplinary Committee's decision on its unpaid transfer fees to WAFA.

The Disciplinary Committee on Friday 20 March, 2015 declared Chelsea losers of all their matches played after February 4 until they settle their indebtedness to WAFA in respect of Solomon Asante's transfer fees.

However immediately after receiving the decision, Chelsea filed an appeal on Friday and has also moved for a Stay of execution to keep the Disciplinary Committee's ruling on hold until the Appeals Committees rules on the case.

The Decision of the Disciplinary Committee saw Chelsea drop to bottom of the League table with six points from ten matches.
