Dwarfs midfielder Frederick Boateng wants Kotoko move, $20,000 price tag slapped

Dwarfs talented playmaker Frederick Boateng says he will join Ghanaian giants Kotoko despite the GH ¢60,000 ($20,000) slapped on his head by the Cape Coast based side insisting he has not contract with the club.

The 20-year-old, who was one of the best players in the Ghanaian top-flight last season, is being targeted by the Porcupine Warriors for recruitment for the upcoming season.

But Dwarfs are opposed to the move insisting they want GH ¢60,000 even though his contract with the relegated Cape Coast side has expired.

Boateng scored eight goal from midfield last season but receive has received only $700 for as his signing on fee since joining Dwarfs two years ago.

''It's Kotoko that I want to play, it's the club that I would love to play for but Dwarfs are blocking the opportunity. I'm yet to sign for any club''. He told Kumasi-based Fox FM.

''They've put a GH ¢60,000 price tag on me and I believe that is what has put Asante Kotoko off but I have made up my mind to play for Kotoko but because of that money, it has slow the deal''.

Dwarfs claim Boateng has a year left on his contract but the player has insists his original contract has expired.
