Right on the Hour

French forward Olivier Giroud came off the bench to dink in a 25 yard fire cracker in the 60th minute to sign off Arsenal's Community Shield Cup letter to Manchester City on Sunday at the Wembley Stadium.

Olivier Giroud played only 45 minutes of the game but nonetheless won the Most Valuable Player Award on the day for producing such a mouth watering strike which caught City goalie Willy Caballero ball watching.

From 25 meters away from goal and surrounded by three defenders, the French striker whiskered a delicious left footed cracker to announce his readiness for the season ahead.

Signed from Montepellier on 26 June, 2012 for 9.6 million pounds, Giroud finished the 2013-2014 as Arsenal's highest goal scorer with 17 goals and 11 assist in 47 appearances.
