Princesses to Call the Bluff of the Young Canucks

The Black Princesses of Ghana begins their quest for qualification to the next round of the 2014 Under 20 women's World Cup with a clash with host, Canada at the Toronto National Stadium.

The Young Canucks have a better record against African opponents with two wins and one defeat but this is the first time the two teams cross path at the U20 level although the North American's have beaten Ghana in the U17 and at the senior level.

Ghana have not scored for 318 minutes of play at this level with Elizabeth Cudjoe netting Ghana's last goal in a 2-0 victory over Switzerland in 2010 but this does not deter coach Bashir Hayford and his team.

Finland and Korea DPR will also trade tackles to see who tops Group A after first round of matches.

Elsewhere at the Edmonton Commonwealth Stadium, two immediate past champions, Germany and the USA will clash whiles the last match for today pairs up China and Brazil.
