Rafal Majka has eyed winning the Tour de France in the future

Poland's Majka has won two stages for Tinkoff-Saxo in his debut Tour and is all-but guaranteed to keep his jersey with two flat stages and a time trial to come.

Majka is more than two hours off the pace of yellow jersey holder Vincenzo Nibali - all but assured of a maiden Tour win.

But the 24-year-old expects to come back stronger in future Tours and is eyeing the grand prize before his career is through.

"I was feeling tired after the long breakaway yesterday and I attacked early because I wasn't feeling good," he said after finishing second in Thursday's stage from Pau to Hautacam.

"I attacked too early and I waited too much but I'm really happy with two stage wins, twice in the top three in the mountains and the polka jersey.

"Now the jersey is mine.
"This is a big surprise for my first Tour de France. Maybe I'll win the Tour de France in the future."
