Ghana trio Adam Kwarasey, Mohammed Abu and Bismark Adjei-Boateng have been eliminated from the prestigious Uefa Champions League along with their club – Stromsgodset after suffering defeat against Romanian side Steaua Bucuresti on Wednesday night.

Kwarasey and Abu were in full-time action for the Norwegian title-holders at the Arena Na?ional? in Bucharest as they slipped to a further 2-0 defeat to exit the competition on a 3-0 aggregate.

Stromsgodset went into the second-leg tie in Romania after losing the the first-leg a fortnight ago at their own backyard and they could do little to alter their fate on Wednesday evening when they made their trip to Central Europe as two late second-half strikes from Cornel Râp? and Nicolae Stanciu consigned them to a 3-0 aggregate loss.

Kwarasey manned the post in the entire duration while Abu played in midfield but Manchester City loanee Nana Boateng was unused.
