Opoku confident ahead of Nigeria clash

Captain of the Local Black Stars Jordan Opoku has reiterated his team's desire and confidence to overcome Nigeria in their CHAN semi-final clash this evening.

Speaking to Accra-based radio station Happy FM, Opoku was in confident mood, as refused to be unfazed by these reports.

“Clashes between Ghana and Nigeria are reminiscent of Kotoko-Hearts matches. It's a big rivalry, and everyone of us will be up for it.” he said.

“We are psyching ourselves up, and we urge Ghanaians to give us all the support we need.”

On reports that the Nigerian team had been promised a heavy bonus if they can indeed overcome Ghana and annex the trophy, Opoku said: “It doesn't matter what goes on in their camp. What we have to do is concentrate on our football.”
