Ghana, Angola clash todayothers. Aziz, Okyere to the rescue

Black Stars Serbian manager Milovan Rajevac's quest to make amends in today's Ghana-Angola internationally friendly, after their not-too-impressive World Cup qualifier performance, has suffered a blow, following the failure of his three key performers to answer the roll call.

The absentee players, Chelsea ace Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan, were alleged to have cancelled their inclusion at the eleventh hour, citing no reasons.

That compelled coach Milo to fall on “rejected” Aziz Ansah, and Cote d'Ivoire-based Sam Okyere, as replacements.

The FIFA-sanctioned game, scheduled for the Coqueiros Stadium, offers the CAN 2010 hosts the opportunity to test one of their match venues, ahead of the finals in January.

Skipper Stephen Appiah and Samuel Inkoom are equally absent, but the two had been granted permission to honour club commitments.
