Wangara hands over keys to GFA

The management of Hotel Wangara on Saturday, officially presented a sponsorship package of a two-bedroom chalet at the premises of the hotel to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) . The fully furnished chalet would house the new Black Stars coach, Millan Zivadinovic, for a two-year period. Handing over the keys to Mr Ben Koufie, Chairman of the GFA at a brief ceremony in Accra on Saturday, Mr Ekow Sam, Proprietor of the hotel, said the coach's telephone bills would, however, be taken care of by the GFA. Mr. Sam called on corporate bodies to come to the aid of the Black Stars since "it is the only national team Ghanaians can be proud of". He said contributions from individuals and the private sector would help uplift the image of Ghana soccer. Mr. Joe Aggrey, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed his appreciation to the management of the hotel and urged them to continue with their good works. He said in spite of the GFA's indebtedness to the hotel, “they have still come to the aid of the national team,” and urged others to follow their good example.
