Bristol City snub Owusu Abeyie

Abeyie will continue his club search

Bristol City manager Gary Johnson has confirmed that the club will not be offering a contract to Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie.

Owusu-Abeyie   and  Vincent http://topics.skysports.com/Vincent+Pericard/?section=football Pericard   have both spent the last ten days on trial with the Robins following their release by   http://topics.skysports.com/Spartak+Moscow/?section=football Spartak Moscow http://topics.skysports.com/Quincy+Owusu-Abeyie/?section=football   and Stoke respectively.

The attacking pair are both available on a free transfer but   Johnson http://topics.skysports.com/Gary+Johnson/?section=football   opted against signing them permanently due to question marks over their fitness.

"Unfortunately they have both left us now," Johnson told the club's   official website .

"We weren't sure on the fitness of the two of them because they have been out of action for so long."

Owusu-Abeyie made just four substitute appearances on loan at Cardiff during the second half of last season while Pericard saw injury ruin a loan spell at Millwall last term.
