Muntari's gets Inter close

Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari scored on his return to keep Inter Milan within touching distance of a fourth successive Serie A title in a 2-0 win over Lazio at the San Siro on Saturday night.

With twenty minutes left on the clock, Ibrahimovic turned provider for Muntari to score the goal which takes Inter three points closer to the league title.

Patrick Vieira and Hernan Crespo were both offside, but Muntari timed his run to perfection to emerge from deep and reach Ibrahimovic's pass before placing the ball inside Muslera's right-hand post.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic unlocked the game with the opener in the 58th minute.

Inter can now win the Scudetto at Chievo next weekend if AC Milan fail to claim maximum points from their games with Catania tomorrow and Juventus next weekend.

Muntari was playing his first match in two weeks after recovering from an injury.

The 24-year-old was making his 33rd appearance for the Nerrazuri in all competitions this season.
