Spurs In £10m Milito Bid
Diego Milito SPURS are lining up a £10million summer move for Argentinian striker Diego Milito.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp was in Italy on Sunday to see Milito, 29, score in Genoa's 2-0 win against Udinese.
And Redknapp has seen enough of the powerful targetman to convince him to make a firm bid.
Milito was also a target for former Spurs boss Juande Ramos when Real Zaragoza were looking to sell the player last summer.
But Spurs refused to meet Zaragoza's £14m asking price and the player eventually returned to former club Genoa for a cut-price £10m.
Now Redknapp wants to revive the deal and believes Milito can be lured to White Hart Lane to take over from Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Meanwhile, Spurs right-back Alan Hutton has been allowed to join up with the Scotland squad despite missing the last four months with a stress fracture of his right foot.
Hutton, 24, successfully came through 70 minutes for Spurs reserves against West Brom on Monday night.
And Redknapp has given the all-clear for the defender to play against Holland on Saturday.
Hutton admitted: “This season has been a nightmare but I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.
“Hopefully my injury problems are behind me now and I can play a part for Spurs and Scotland this season.”
