Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year declared public holidays

The Ministry of the Interior on Tuesday announced that December 25 (Christmas Day), December 26 (Boxing Day) and January 1 (New Year's Day), 2009 are statutory public holidays and should be observed as such.

This was contained in a statement in Accra signed by Dr Kwame Addo-Kufuor, Minister of the Interior.
