Mensah makes Lyon return

MENSAH CONTINUES INJURY BATTLES Ghanaian defender John Mensah shook-off a groin injury and played his first game in three weeks in last night's Uefa Champions League for Lyon.

Mensah played in an unusual right-back role in Lyon's 2-1 away win against Fiorentina in Florence.

The Black Stars deputy captain got injured last month in a league match when he limped off the field after 80 minutes.  

He justified himself in the match and should be available for selection in Saturday's League game against Valenciennes.
