Judgment day…As B.A, Wise, Chelsea and Samartex scramble for premiership slots

At the close of today, two of the prospective premiership candidates will emerge as elite division campaigners, depending on the outcome of their Division One Middle League crunch ties.

What makes the games highly uncompromising stems from the fact that the combatants have equal chances of joining the elite division, having picked six points apiece, in their various zones.

Indeed, a slip on the part of any one of the teams will result in the qualification of the other, and this is what has raised the stakes in the fixtures.

At the El-Wak Stadium, former premiership side, Sekondi Eleven Wise battle new comers Samartex in an expected crucial tie, while Berekum-based debutants -Chelsea take on another ex-premiership side, BA United at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The chairman of the Division One League Board, Mr. Ntow-Fianko has said in an interview that measures have been put in place to ensure heavy security presence at the match venues, to contain any possible fans cacophony.

On Sunday, Power FC and Royal Knights will battle for supremacy in zone 3 to determine who picks the last premiership ticket.

Fair Point clashes with St. Mirren, Soccer Warriors play Upper Stars and Westham and Norchip will battle it out for purposes of formality.
