African Games: Abeiku Jackson wins bronze in Men’s 100m butterfly

Ghana's Abeiku Jackson clinched Ghana's 5th medal at the African Games, securing a bronze in the Men's 100m butterfly event.

This marks Jackson's second medal in the Games, following his earlier silver win in the Men's 50m butterfly.

Originally slated for Monday, March 11, 2024, the race was postponed due to a false start. Jackson completed the race with a time of 53.80 seconds, trailing behind South Africa's Jarden Eaton and Egypt's Abdalla Nasr, who claimed gold and silver respectively.

At 23 years old, Jackson sets his sights on further accolades in the 13th African Games, with aspirations for success at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.
