'This is my new home' — Ghana's Evelyn Badu reacts to joining a new French club

Ghanaian midfielder Evelyn Badu has expressed her delight at joining French club FC Fleury 91 Feminines, marking a new chapter in her football career.

The 21-year-old, who is a member of Ghana's senior women's team, the Black Queens, shared her excitement on Twitter, declaring, "New home," as she embarks on this exciting journey with FC Fleury 91 Feminines.

Badu, recognized for her stellar performances, has inked a contract with the French club that extends until 2025.

Having previously played for Avaldsnes in Norway for two seasons, where she scored two goals in 25 appearances, Badu brings a wealth of experience to her new team.

Despite her individual success, Badu's former club, Avaldsnes, faced relegation from the Toppserien last season.

Now, the Ghanaian midfielder is set to make her mark in the French league alongside her new teammate, Cameroon international Bernadette Ngaseh Mbele.

Badu's journey to France follows her notable achievements, including being named the 2022 CAF Women Youth Player of the Year and the CAF Women Interclub Player of the Year.
