Ghana Premier League: Kotoko defeat Gold Stars 1-0 to move to second on league table

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko defeated Bibiani Gold Stars by a lone goal to bag three crucial points in the Ghana Premier League on Friday.

The Kumasi-based club hosted the team from Bibiani today in a Week 19 encounter of the ongoing league campaign.

In a game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium today, both teams played well but wasted several goal-scoring opportunities.

The only goal of the game came in injury time of the first half courtesy of a strike from teenager Peter Acquah.

The narrow victory has taken Asante Kotoko to second on the Ghana Premier League table.

Bibiani Gold Stars on the other hand have dropped to 13^th on the league standings.
