Match Report: Nsoatreman FC beat 10-man Asante Kotoko 1-0 to stay top of Premier League table
Nsoatreman FC remain top of the Ghana Premier League table after beating Asante Kotoko 1-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The two teams today locked horns in a Round 8 encounter of the 2023/24 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Though both teams would play well and create several goal-scoring opportunities, there was only a single goal.
A strike from Stephen Diyou was enough to win the game for Nsoatreman FC as Asante Kotoko complained to the deaf ears of the referee for a perceived offside after the goal.
To make matters worse for the Porcupine Warriors, the team was reduced to 10 men before the first half break when Henry Ansu was given a red card.
Despite putting on a good performance after recess, Asante Kotoko could not get back into the game and had to end the game without a point.
The win keeps Nsoatreman FC at the top of the Ghana Premier League table while Asante Kotoko drop to 9th at the end of Week 8.
