Saani Mohammed Suspended

The management of Accra Hearts of Oak has suspended goalkeeper Saani Mohammed indefinitely.

The action, according to the club, was necessitated by the player's show of "gross insubordination, spreading of malicious information and showing disrespet to both the personality of the Chief Executive Officer and corporate image of the club in the media."

The suspension notice was contained in a letter addressed to the goalkeeper yesrerday and signed by Hearts CEO, Thomas Okai.

Saani was reported last week to have threatened quitting football to enter journalism following what he believed to be a conscious attempt to frustrate his career at the club.

Hearts have since denied that publicly.
