Joseph Paintsil, Kamaldeen Sulemana tops list of highest-rated Ghanaian Players Abroad

Black Stars youngster, Kamaldeen Sulemana left it late to shine in the English Premier League in his debut season.

In the final match of the season against Liverpool on Sunday, May 28, the 21-year-old starred with a top performance that saw him scoring twice to help Southampton to earn a point.

His blistering performance earned him a rating of 8.7 at the end of the contest.

It is enough to earn him second place in the Top 10 list of highest-rated Ghanaian Players Abroad put together by SofaScore.

The only Ghanaian player who did better than Kamaldeen Sulemana this weekend is in-form KRC Genk winger Joseph Paintsil.

The attacker was on fire on Sunday when his team locked horns with Club Brugge in the Championship playoff in the Belgian Pro League.

His brace proved crucial as Genk cruised to a 3-1 win to keep hopes of winning the Belgian Pro League title alive.

Other players making it into the list of Top 10 Highest Rated Ghanaian Players Abroad include Franck Acheampong, Abu Francis, Thomas Partey, as well as veteran Black Stars defender Harrison Afful.

Out of the players in the Top 10, sources have indicated that the likes of Joseph Paintsil, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Thomas Partey will be part of the Black Stars squad for the Ghana v Madagascar clash next month.

On June 18, Ghana will face off with Madagascar at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo.

The game will kick off at 17:00gmt.
