Sporting Lisbon attacker, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a stunning goal in Black Meteors held Algeria to a 1-1 drawn game in the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana played the North African side in the first leg of the final round of the qualifiers at Annaba at the Stade du 19 Mai 1956.

Having ended the first half goalless, Fatawu Issahaku scored a cracker from the centreline in the 85th minute to put Meteors ahead.

However, the Algerians were awarded another penalty and was converted by Bekkouche Chemseddine to draw them back on level terms after the first one in the 79th minute was saved by Ibrahim Danlad.

The return leg is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
