The Black Stars of Ghana started the 2022 World Cup campaign with a defeat against Portugal on Thursday.

Ghana were hoping to start their campaign on a good note at the 974 Stadium but suffered a defeat.

The Black Stars will hope to secure their first win on Monday when they come up against South Korea at the Education City Stadium.

The win takes Portugal top of the group but the 0-0 draw between South Korea and Uruguay earlier in the day means today’s loss might not prove to be too costly for the Black Stars.
