UCL: Kamal Sowah pushes to make Ghana’s World Cup squad with another top performance for Club Brugge

Ghana youngster Kamal Sowah continued his fine form in the 2022/23 football season on Tuesday night as he helped his Club Brugge KV side to see off Atletico Madrid in the Uefa Champions League

The Belgian club today hosted the team from Spain in a game serving as a matchday 3 encounter of Group B.

Kamal Sowah, 22, started the game for his team and did not disappoint his manager for having the faith in him.

He excelled in attack and put up a fantastic shift down the flanks to occasionally help the home team defensively.

In the 36th minute, he got himself in a very good position after a well-worked inter-positional play and had the goal at his mercy. From close range, Kamal Sowah slotted the ball into the back of the net with a simple touch to give Club Brugge the lead.

Going on to last the entire duration of the match, the in-form winger finished the game with a high rating of 7.5.

With his top performance today, Kamal Sowah is pushing for a place in the Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He has been good for Club Brugge both in the Belgian Jupiler League and the Uefa Champions League.

On Tuesday, a second goal from Ferran Jutgla in the second half saw Club Brugge secure a 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

The Belgian club is now top of the Group B standings of the Uefa Champions League group stage with a 100% record from the three games played so far.
