There is a rift between Nana Yaw Amponsah and Prosper Narteh Ogum - Kotoko board member confirms

Asante Kotoko board member, Yaw Adu, has confirmed there is a bad blood between the Chief Executive Officer [CEO] of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah and Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Ogum, 44, is reported to have communicated his decision to the board to leave the club after less than 10 months in charge.

He's reported to have a fractious relationship with the management of the club, heated exchanges with the top hierarchy over transfers, and he's owed four months salary.

The board member speaking in an interview revealed that there's a friction between the Nana Yaw Amponsah and Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.

According to him, the leadership of the club will meet and settle the differences.

"Yes, it is a fact that there are some frictions between the two parties (Nana Yaw Amponsah and the coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum)," he told Kumasi based Akoma FM.

"This is one of the key reasons we will be meeting them on monday to try and settles all differences.

"I will appeal to the fans to stay calm as we bring peace between them and see the way forward especially our African campaign," he added.

Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum joined Asante Kotoko on a two year deal from WAFA and steered the side to a Ghana Premier League victory in his debut season.
