Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil confident of a comeback after Morocco defeat

Ghana international, Joseph Paintsil is confident things will change for the better for the Black Stars as the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament progresses.

The KRC Genk forward displayed impressive form for the Black Stars on Monday evening when the side faced off with the Atlas Lions in a Group C clash of the ongoing continental showpiece.

Unfortunately, it was not meant to be for Ghana as the side lost narrowly by a goal to nil to Morocco.

Reacting to the result in a post on his Twitter page, Joseph Paintsil says the Black Stars shall rise from the setback and continue fighting for Ghana.

“We fall, we learn, we rise.
“We shall keep fighting for our motherland. Sight on the next one,” Joseph Paintsil tweeted after the Morocco game.

Up next for Ghana in the 2021 AFCON, the side will take on Gabon in the second Group C game of the tournament.

That game is scheduled to be played on Friday, January 14, 2022.
