New Stadium at Aflao

Aflao, Aug. 17, GNA - Diamond Cement Ghana Limited (DCGL) has started the construction of a Sports Stadium on a portion of the Company's land at Aflao to promote sports in the area.

The coast is not known but so far, 400 million cedis has been spent on the project which will have a football pitch, volley, basket and handball courts.

When completed, the stadium complex is also expected to have a children's park among other facilities.

Mr Chitti Babu, General Manager of DCGL told the GNA Sports that the stadium will be put at the disposal of the general public at no cost. He said the Company is contemplating forming a football club saying for starters, the company will be engaging its staff in sporting activities with the local people on friendly basis.
