Thomas Partey rates his performances at Arsenal over the past year as '4 out of 10'

Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey has rated himself a 4 out of 10 over his past one year stay at Premier League side, Arsenal.

The 28-year-old joined the Gunners on the final day of the transfer window after his £45 million ($58m) release clause was triggered to take him away from La Liga champions, Atlético Madrid ahead of the 2020/2021 season.

Partey's first year with the Gunners was plagued with injuries, limiting him to just 24 appearances, scoring no goal and providing two assists.

So far in the 2021/2022 season, he has played 10 games, scoring his first goal in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa.

“Personally, I would say five or six [out of 10] but with the marks of the people outside, I’d give myself a four, because there are moments in the game where I can be really hurting the other team but there are also moments, because I’m not yet adapted to the Premier League, where maybe I allow myself to lose focus and that’s when everything goes down,” Partey said in an interview Sky Sports.

“From the start [of the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United on Thursday] I had a couple of moments where I gave two balls away and someone watching on TV from home or in the stadium, it is normal that they see this.

“At the end, I have to be happy with some moments, I have to learn from the bad parts and try to do better. I think they demanded more and personally I know I can give more. I have to keep working and at the end, I will get the results.” he added.

Partey was in action in Arsenal defeat to Everton on Monday night at Goodison Park.
