2021/22 GPL Week 6: Aduana Stars thump struggling WAFA SC 3-0 to move to second

Aduana Stars have climbed to second on the Ghana Premier League table after an impressive 3-0 win over WAFA SC on Saturday afternoon.

The team based in Dormaa had a difficult start to the 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign but has gradually picked up.

Today at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, Aduana Stars played host to WAFA SC aiming to record a win after picking six points from their last two matches in games against RTU and Legon Cities FC.

With a top performance in the early parts of the game, the home team deservedly took the lead through a strike from defender Hafiz Adams in the 8th minute.

Pushing on from there, winger Emmanuel Gyamfi bagged a sensational brace to seal a 3-0 win for Aduana Stars as the team dumped WAFA SC in class in front of their fans.

After today’s win, Aduana Stars have climbed to second on the Ghana Premier League table and trails Asante Kotoko by just two points.

Meanwhile, struggling WAFA SC has dropped to 14th on the league log and just two places away from the red zone.
