Caf CL: Hearts of Oak name 24-man squad for Wydad AC encounter in Casablanca

Accra Hearts of Oak will leave the shores of Ghana today for Morocco for the second leg tie of the Caf Champions League.

The Ghana Premier League side recorded a slim 1-0 win against Wydad Atheltic Club in the first leg of the preliminary round of the competition.

Isaac Mensah scored a sensational goal after connecting Ibrahim Salifu's beautiful cross in the first half.

Hearts of Oak will be hoping to play in the group phase of the competition for the first time since 2006.

Dr Randy Abbey, who is a member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association will lead the team as the leader of the delegation.

A total of 43 contingent will fly out of Ghana today 21st October 2021 with an Emirate airline at 17:00GMT.

The return encounter is scheduled on Sunday, October 24 at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, 19:00GMT.
