Sports Ministry deny approving appointment of Milovan Rajevac as Black Stars coach

Coach Milovan Rajevac

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture has denied reports that it has given its approval for the appointment of Milovan Rajevac as the new head coach for the Black Stars.

Last Monday, it was reported that the Serbian tactician had arrived in Ghana to take charge of the vacant Black Stars job.

Subsequently, information gathered revealed that the Sports Ministry after a meeting with the Ghana FA approved the appointment of Milovan Rajevac and agreed a monthly salary of $45,000 for the coach.

Speaking to Angel FM today, Deputy Sports Minister Hon. Evans Owusu Bobie has said no approval has been given by his outfit.

“We haven’t Approved Milo as Black Stars Coach, We are yet to receive GFA committee's report.

“Per our checks as a ministry we have not seen Milo, we have not even received any report from the FA regarding the appointment of a new coach,” he shared.

The Ghana FA by next week will confirm a new head coach for the Black Stars to prepare for Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Zimbabwe in October.
