GPL: Asante Kotoko complete Richmond Lamptey signing until 2024

Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of midfielder Richmond Lamptey on a free transfer.

Lamptey who was a key performer of the relegated Premier League outfit Inter Allies in the just-ended season is on his way out of the club following the expiration of his contract.

The 24-year-old's contract with Allies will be expiring in October and has decided to join the Porcupine Warriors for the next three seasons.

The Black Stars 'B' midfielder was instrumental in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season, scoring three goals in 30 matches for Inter Allies.

Lamptey made headlines in the just-ended season with his 40-yard thunderbolt strike against Hearts of Oak in the first round of the Ghana Premier League.

He left WAFA SC in 2018 to join Inter Allies on a free transfer before he was loaned out to Lebanese second-tier outfit Salam Zgharta.

He has a knack of scoring extraordinary goals from distance.
