Black Princesses to begin camping on Thursday ahead of U-20 FIFA WC qualifiers

The Ghana female U-20 team will later this week begin camping to prepare for the qualifiers of the 2022 U-20 FIFA World Cup tournament set to be hosted in Costa Rica.

“Black Princesses Coach Ben Fokuo has invited Thirty-nine players for camping at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

“The team will move their preparation into full gear ahead of the 2022 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifiers,” a communique on the website of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced.

Although Ghana drew a bye in the preliminary round of the qualifiers, the Black Princesses are set to face Guinea Bissau in the first round of the qualifiers in September this year.

The team is hoping to succeed at the end of the qualifiers to earn the ticket to what will be a record 6th straight FIFA Women’s World Cup appearance at the U-20 level.
