Ghanaian striker Elvis Manu nets consolation for Ludogorets in defeat to CSKA Sofia
Ghanaian striker, Elvis Manu grabbed a consolation goal for Ludogorets Razgrad on Wednesday evening when the team suffered a 2-1 defeat to CSKA Sofia in the Bulgaria Cup.
The two top clubs locked horns today at the Ludogorets Arena for the second leg of a tie in the semi-finals of the cup competition.
Pegged at 1-1 from the first leg last week, both teams set up strong in a bid to get the win to progress to the final for a chance to win a silverware at the end of the football season.
In a game where Ludogorets and CSKA Sofia produced three goals in 90 minutes, both teams had a player sent off in the second half.
On the matchday, Ghana’s Elvis Manu who replaced Claudio Keșerü in the 56th minute found the back of the net with a good effort after receiving a pass from Wanderson.
Unfortunately, first-half goals from Henrique and Georgi Yomov in the first half saw CSKA Sofia cruising to a massive 2-1 win.
