GHPL: Fabio Gama scores again as Asante Kotoko defeat Bechem United 4-0

Brazilian midfielder, Fabio Gama dos Santos scored in the second successive match on Wednesday afternoon to inspire Asante Kotoko to defeat Bechem United 4-0 in the Ghana Premier League.

The attacking midfielder looks to be enjoying himself under new head coach Mariano Barreto following his push from the flanks to a more central position.

Last weekend, he netted the only goal for the Reds when they drew 1-1 against Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Handed a starting role today, Fabio Gama flourished as he set up defender Abdul Ganiu to score to shoot Asante Kotoko into a deserved lead after 13 minutes of play against Bechem United.

In the final minutes before the first half break, the Brazilian latched onto a pass from Augustine Okrah in the area of the Hunters and made no mistake as he smashed home his effort to increase the lead for his team.

Although Bechem United will come in strong in the second half, equalizers from young striker Francis Andy Kumi and new signing Michael Vinicius sealed a massive 4-0 win for Kotoko at the end of the match.

Fabio Gama after today’s outstanding display now has two goals and two assists in the Ghana Premier League.
