Kotoko remains the best club in the Ghana Premier League – Nana Yaw Amponsah
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has argued that the team has been the best in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
The Kumasi-based club after enduring an inconsistent start to the season has managed to gain some grounds and currently in a good position to challenge for the league title.
Although they occupy the 6th position of the league table, CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah believes Asante Kotoko has still been the best team this season.
“Kotoko remains the best team this season; we are the only club beside King Faisal that has played all matches away from home (Traditional home). Everyone knows Baba Yara Stadium is our home,” the Asante Kotoko CEO said in an address on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Nana Yaw Amponsah has urged the Ghanaian media to focus more on players and coaches instead of chasing club officials for interviews.
“The media are not focusing on our players, they always want to interview the CEO and the Board. They need to start focusing on the technical team and players,” he added.
