U-20 AFCON: Percious Boah scores from a direct free-kick to book place in final for Ghana

Talented forward, Percious Boah scored from a direct free-kick to give Ghana a 1-0 win against Gambia to ensure the team qualified to the finals of the 2021 Total CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Black Satellites today locked horns with the Young Scorpions at the Stade Municipal Nouakchott to fight for a place in the finals of the tournament being staged in Mauritania.

With Ghana going into today’s encounter having lost a previous meeting in the Group Stage to the Gambian side, the team set-up strong determined to exact revenge to carry the day.

Putting on a very spirited performance, the Black Satellites have been able to achieve their goal courtesy of a free-kick stunningly converted by danger man Percious Boah.

The win means the Ghana U-20 team is into the final of this year’s Total CAF U-20 AFCON and could win a second major trophy in the space of four months should the team emerge as eventual champions at the end of the ongoing tournament.

The Black Satellites will face the winner of the second semi-final match between Uganda and Tunisia.
