Newly-appointed Great Olympics head coach, Yaw Preko has had a winning start to the job after guiding the team to defeat Inter Allies FC 2-0 on Friday afternoon.

The former assistant coach of Hearts of Oak was given the job on Wednesday to take over from veteran tactician Annor Walker who is ill and receiving treatment.

Today, Yaw Preko and his assistant Godwin Attram took charge of their first match when they led the team to the Accra Sports Stadium to face Inter Allies FC.

Although the home team played some delightful football, the resilience of Great Olympics paid off at the end of the 90 minutes with a brace from Maxwell Nii Abbey Quay earning all three points for the visitors.

The win serves as a confidence booster for coach Yaw Preko and his assistant who now turn focus to the tough encounter against Karela United on matchday 10 of the Ghana Premier League.
