Kotoko Hold First Training Session In Mauritania Ahead Of FC Nouadhibou Showdown

Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Thursday afternoon held its first training session in Mauritania ahead of the meeting with FC Nouadhibou in the CAF Champions League this weekend.

The Ghanaian giants are billed to face off with the Mauritania Champions in a two-legged tie in the preliminary stage of this season’s top-tier continental inter-club competition.

With the first meeting scheduled to be played as an away fixture, Asante Kotoko on Thursday safely arrived in Mauritania to prepare for the encounter originally scheduled for Friday, November 27.

Due to a change in date to Sunday, November 29, the Porcupine Warriors have now altered their plans accordingly and will have a few more days to train and acclimatize for the fixture.

Yesterday, the team had the chance to train for the first time at the Stade Olympique in Nouakchott.

The team is expected to train again today and tomorrow before the game against FC Nouadhibou is played on Sunday.
