VIDEO: Watch Highlights Of Ghana’s Defeat To Sudan

The male senior national team of Ghana on Tuesday lost 1-0 to Sudan in Group C of the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Nicknamed the Black Stars, the team faced off with their counterpart from Sudan at the Al-Hilal Stadium today hoping to pick up maximum points to cement qualification to next year’s AFCON tournament.

Unfortunately, a last-minute equalizer from Mohamed Abdel Rahman has handed Ghana a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Sudan.

In line with today’s result, the Black Stars will need to wait and pick up at least 3 more points from the two remaining qualifying matches in Group C before the team can qualify for the next edition of the continental showpiece.

As things stand now, South Africa sits second on the Group C standings [On the same points as Ghana, 9] and also stands a very good chance of qualifying for the AFCON tournament.
