Ashgold Stadium In Good Condition Ahead Of Start Of New Season
The Len Clay Sports Stadium appears in good condition as Ashanti Gold SC step up preparations for the start of the new football season.
Nicknamed the Miners, the team remains one of the giants of Ghana football. During the 2019/2020 football season, the Obuasi-based club performed decently well.
Due to some inconsistencies, the team occupied the 6th position at the time the last campaign was suspended and subsequently canceled as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 football season, Ashanti Gold SC is keen on performing better to stage a proper challenge for the coveted Ghana Premier League title.
In a season where the team will also be competing in the CAF Confederations Cup, they have decided to give the Len Clay Sports Stadium a facelift.
The latest pictures from the venue show the pitch has been well catered for as it looks greener than before.
