Fulham Reignite Interest In Ghana Defender Daniel Amartey

Daniel Amartey

Premier League side, Fulham have reignited their interest in signing Daniel Amartey from Leicester City this summer.

The Ghana international has struggled for playing time last season after recovering from injury.

Fulham made an attempt to sign the 26 year old in Janury but failed to reach agreement with the Leciester.

But according to a report by Football Insider, Leicester are willing to sell Amartey for around £5million this summer.

The Cottagers have held a long-term interest in the defensive midfielder, who can also play across the backline, and tried to sign him in the January transfer window.

Amartey has two years remaining on his contract with the Foxes, having penned a new deal in December 2018.

The Ghana international spent nearly two years on the sidelines with an ankle injury suffered in a 1-1 draw with West Ham United in October 2018.

He has also been linked to Turkish clubs this summer.
